GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serves as an integral part of the Web development team by carefully translating graphic designs into functioning HTML/CSS/JS. This position is focused on front-end design. Reports to the Director of Web Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Map or outline Web structural content.
- Create templates of approved Web site layout.
- Create or edit images for Web use.
- Assist in the design, coding and testing of online projects.
- Work within and uphold the established project workflow to effectively collaborate with fellow developers and the clients.
- Make changes to Web sites as directed.
- Manage site search optimization.
- Manage a variety of electronic communications as needed for external relations, including HTML e-mail and other evolving technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma or GED.
-4 years of job-related experience. Education may substitute for some experience.
-Finalist candidates will be required to present a portfolio of three to five well coded Web projects that demonstrate the ability to translate Photoshop mock-ups into fully functioning valid Web pages complete with CSS and JS.
-Finalist candidate must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check.
