GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serves as a key stakeholder in the Web development team. Primarily focused on back-end Web development and the continued development of the university's Cascade content management system. Reports to the Director of Web Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead in the delivery and maintenance of all public-facing Web pages.
- Make recommendations regarding emerging Web trends and possible improvements to the current architecture.
- Lead in the development and maintenance of complex client Web sites.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Serve as a liaison to Information and Technology Services staff in developing in-house Web applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, communications, public relations or related field and 2 years of Web Development experience in a professional setting OR 5 years of progressive Web Development experience in a professional setting.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Finalist candidates will be required to present a portfolio of three to five Web projects that demonstrate a strong understanding of programming principles.
4. Finalist candidate must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check.
