TutorSource is looking for a front-end developer to join our team. You will be hand-coding HTML/CSS and JavaScript that matches specifications and is cross-browser compatible, assisting with design specifications, and working with Ruby on Rails developers to integrate the HTML with the web application.
TutorSource (www.tutorsource.com) was founded in 2008 as a spinoff of Revolution Prep, the #1 test prep company in California. We are developing an online tutoring marketplace with the goal of providing immediate, affordable access to tutoring for all students. The product was launched in October and is growing in both customer base and revenue.
Requirements:
-- Fluency in hand-coded HTML/CSS
-- Ability to write JavaScript code
-- Experience creating standards-compliant HTML/CSS from
Photoshop mockups
-- Expertise in achieving cross-browser compatibility
-- Understanding of grid-based layouts
Pluses:
-- Interest in graphic design
-- Experience in Ruby on Rails or jQuery
-- Regular reader of A List Apart
-- Obsession with all things open source
-- digg reader, Apple fan, music lover
