SQL Server Developer
The Business Tools & Services group supports numerous internal applications with the ultimate goal of increasing cross sell and supporting wholesale relationship teams on deepening relationships with our customers. These tools include: Planet Wholesale Online (which includes Referral Tracking and iPlan), Data Doctor, My Customer View, the RMI Hub, A+, Planet Wholesale Reporting, and Online Activation.
The Database Analyst 4 role, on the Planet Wholesale Online team, includes the following responsibilities:
# Development and maintenance of new project and modules, enhancement of existing modules using T-SQL based on new/current business logic.
# Responsible for ETL process development and maintenance of application data feed using SQL Server Integration Services, .NET and T-SQL.
# Production support and maintenance of existing projects/modules using SQL Server 2005 and SSIS.
# Coordinates with release manager to deploy items for Databases and configurations.
# Work closely with business analysts and create technical specification documents
# Collaborate with architects to build template code and enforce guidelines
* Minimum Qualifications:
# 4 year degree in IT or related field and 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
# Minimum hands on experience in SQL Server 2000 (3 Years), SQL Server 2005 (2 years), SSIS (2 Years) development. SSIS developments from scratch (using Visual Studio Solution) not using import/export wizard.
# Must be strong in T-SQL , various Database Join types, SQL Grouping, use of built-in functions/User defined functions, system stored procedures, DTS, advance features of SQL Server 2005.
# Understanding Entity-Relationship and coding using ER diagram.
# Experience with handling large tables/databases, Query performance tuning, Distributed Transaction, Distributed Queries/Linked Servers.
# Experience of modifying/analyzing existing complex code to extract/understand business logic.
# Must be able to work in a team.
# Familiar with Agile Development.
# Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
# Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to diverse business and technical audiences.
# Analytical skills, ability to 'think outside the box', and move concepts to implementation.
# Ability to take ownership of the task assigned.
